October is Black History Month! It is a time for recognition and celebration of Black African and Carribbean heritage and culture. Many celebrate by attending relevant talks and workshops on Black historic figures. Listening to music by Black artists, trying out African and Carribbean dishes, or sinking into a book by a Black author are other ways to celebrate.

We have put together a list of national and community events to help you celebrate achievements and contributions of people from African and Carribbean backgrounds. Remember to check out whether there are any Black History Month celebrations at work!
