  • LGT Psychological wellbeing support
    The Staff Psychological Wellbeing Service offers:
    1. Up to three sessions of individual staff support.
    2. Team based reflective groups and workshops.
    3. Support for managers.
    4. Trust-wide wellbeing support and promotion.
  • General wellbeing support
    Information on the support, resources and training offered via the ‘Keeping Well’ hub.
  • Psychological therapy
    Information on how to self-refer for an assessment to determine suitability for psychological therapy.
  • Mental health crisis support
    Advice and guidance on what staff can do if they are experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Phone support
    Staff can find information on a range of phone support.
  • Wellbeing apps
    Information on free wellbeing apps available to NHS staff.
  • Wellbeing reading material
    Information on a range of mental health topics including depression, suicidal feelings, post-traumatic-stress disorder, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress management and bereavement.
  • Covid-19 support
    Guidance and information on how to manage the impact of the pandemic.
  • Support for managers
    Advice on coaching, wellbeing conversations, redeployment and other ways to support staff wellbeing.
  • Webinars
    Staff can access webinars on sleep and stress management.

  • Wellbeing champions
    Wellbeing Champions promote and support the wellbeing of their colleagues. LGT has a number of Wellbeing Champions and staff can access information on their role and how to contact them.
  • Wellbeing conversations
    Staff can access information on wellbeing conversations and LGT guidance on the process. Managers can also get support on how to facilitate the conversation and the training available.
  • Flexible working
    Staff can find information on the different types of flexible working and the application process.
  • Going home checklist
    LGT has developed a going home checklist and staff can download it and read about the benefits of having time to reflect at the end of their day/shift.
  • Sunflower lanyard
    Staff can access information and training on hidden disabilities and information on how to get a sunflower lanyard.
  • Occupational health service

  • The LGT staff physiotherapy service
    LGT staff who are experiencing pain/discomfort from a musculoskeletal disorder can self-refer for a fast-tracked assessment and treatment service without the need to see a GP or Consultant.

    Staff can find local information and events to help improve their health and wellbeing here.
  • NHS weight management programme

    Information on a range of physical health topics including weight, alcohol, smoking cessation and exercise can be found here.

  • The Guardian Service
    This service offers independent and confidential support to staff who wish to raise concerns. Staff can call the service on: 0333 577 5299 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) or can email via:
  • Domestic Abuse
    Information on understanding domestic abuse, how to spot the signs that someone may be experiencing it and the range of help available can be found here.

  • The Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care Team
    This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides a confidential listening ear to staff and patients and workshops for staff. Find out more here.
